Latine Committee
Improving mental well-being and reducing disparities in Latinx communities through culturally sensitive services, education, and advocacy that center language, identity, and lived experience.
Expanding access to culturally rooted mental health and wellness care — for communities, by communities
"We believe healing must be culturally grounded, identity-affirming, and accessible to everyone — especially those historically excluded from traditional systems."
At Our Mental Health Collective, our work centers on removing barriers that prevent marginalized communities from receiving the mental health care they deserve. Through our statewide directory, bilingual programs, community-centered events, healing workshops, partnerships with cultural hubs, and on-the-ground support in trusted spaces, we bring care directly to where people already gather, live, and feel safe.
We expand access by increasing the availability of culturally responsive clinicians and wellness providers, building pathways for BIPOC individuals to enter the profession, and ensuring that care is financially, linguistically, and geographically reachable.
Circular System of Care
Our work focuses on reducing systemic barriers that keep communities from healing. We invest in clinicians of color through training, funding, mentorship, and professional development — strengthening representation across the field and ensuring that communities can access providers who reflect their identities, understand their lived experiences, and honor their cultural wisdom.
As more BIPOC clinicians thrive, so do the communities they serve. The outcome is a circular ecosystem: more providers of color create more identity-affirming care, which produces healthier, more supported communities — who become the next generation of healers. By addressing inequity at its roots, we are building a future where care is not a privilege, but a right.

We serve the broader community by piloting innovative mental health and wellness programs and expanding access through our statewide directory, mental health fairs, community events, and partnerships. We are building community-led pathways to healing—ensuring care is accessible, affirming, and rooted in the people it serves.
Our goal is to build community-led pathways to healing and ensure everyone has access to the support they deserve.
We support students preparing to enter the mental health and wellness field by offering mentorship, skill-building opportunities, and professional exposure. Our goal is to bridge the gap between education and practice — helping emerging leaders develop confidence, competence, and a clear path toward meaningful careers.
We serve recent graduates, limited license professionals, and newly licensed providers as they transition into the field. Through mentorship, advanced training, and peer connection, we help them strengthen their clinical identity, continue building their skills, and establish a strong foundation for long-term success.
We support solo clinicians and wellness providers who are navigating private practice independently. By offering business guidance, operational tools, client development support, and connection to a professional community, we help them build sustainable, ethical, and culturally grounded practices.
We assist group practice owners seeking to expand or strengthen their organizations. We provide insights on practice management, operational sustainability, culturally responsive care models, and collective leadership — helping them build thriving, values-aligned environments for both clients and staff.
