Access For All of Us

Redefining Mental Health and Wellness Care

Our Mental Health Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit expanding access to identity-affirming care for historically underserved communities. Our mission is to provide culturally affirming and responsive mental health resources for BIPOC community members and mental health professionals. We do this through a mental health and wellness directory, partnerships with businesses and organizations, culturally rooted programming for providers, students, and community members, and by testing innovative models of care that better serve historically undervalued communities whose mental health needs, voices, and lived experiences have too often been overlooked.

Find care. Build community.

Care that meets you where you are

We aim to remove barriers by increasing representation in the field, supporting clinicians and mental health providers of color, and building a circular ecosystem where healers and communities thrive together.

Access that honors care

We make it easier for people to find care that reflects who they are and where they come from. Healing happens best when you don't have to translate your existence.

Cultural sovereignty & ancestral healing

We honor ancestral wisdom, cultural practices, and community identities beyond Eurocentric norms.

Collective liberation & justice-rooted care

We link healing to justice, challenging systems of oppression while centering community care and access.

Holistic practice, accountability & integration

We embrace whole-person healing and commit to reflection, unlearning, and accountable, culturally rooted care.

Reimagine the System

Join us in building a mental health and wellness model rooted in community, accessibility, and cultural integrity

A world where therapists, healers, and cultural practitioners of color can thrive, lead, and redefine mental health on our own terms.

Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we live, gather, and do our work on lands taken through colonization, genocide, and ongoing systems of oppression, and we recognize that the Grand Rapids, Michigan area is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Odawa (Ottawa), Ojibwe (Chippewa), and Potawatomi peoples, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy; these nations have maintained deep cultural, spiritual, and relational ties to this land for generations, and many of their descendants continue to live, lead, and resist erasure today, calling us to engage honestly with this history and to align our work with Indigenous sovereignty, accountability, and justice. Especially Black, Brown, Indigenous, disabled, trans, neurodivergent, and other marginalized community members. If you do need emergency services, we invite you to involve trusted family, friends, or community members who can advocate for you and help ensure your safety
